Georgia has been teaching my elder daughter and myself over the last five years and this year my 5-year-old younger daughter has also started learning piano with her.

Georgia is a very patient, humorous, and encouraging teacher. Her passion and knowledge in music inspire all of us, which makes her lessons not only informative but also enjoyable. She always tailors her teaching to individual students and encourages them to bring out their best.

As an adult beginner, I found it very challenging in the first few months of learning piano. Thankfully, Georgia’s lessons were well-structured and inspirational, with the right balance of rigour to keep me moving forward at a good pace.

It is really a great pleasure to express my observations, experience with, and knowledge of Georgia Kaponi! I am a mature individual, hold an MS in Management Degree from Troy State University U.S.A and a degree in Philosophy from National and Kapodistrian University, Athens, Greece, and am currently trained as a Lyric Tenor.

More pertinent, I have worked with Mrs Georgia Kaponi for a long time in piano study as well as in structuring and rehearsing a well-diversified repertoire, comprising Greek, international songs and arias from well-known operas. Mrs Kaponi and I have spent endless hours for three years perfecting the performance of this repertoire until it was ready to be presented in concerts where I participated as a soloist while Mrs Kaponi accompanied me at the piano. We have given many concerts on various occasions in Athens and Piraeus.

My description of her abilities and skills begins first of all with her solid musicality, her superb competency as a pianist, and her obvious delight in teaching. She has a huge amount of personal talent and a vast accumulation of music knowledge; but equally important is her capacity for coaching. I know firsthand how well she directs, instructs, inspires, and motivates a student and a singer like myself to avoid a flat and dull performance.

She is unique in using the dynamics of the music sheet and interpreting the composer’s hidden thoughts, by imparting and inspiring the singer to give to the public an overwhelming performance. She acts as an accompanist and as a music theatre director.

I must also mention her high degree of compassion, flexibility, and humour. She has that rare knack of imparting to a student the qualities of music appreciation, the joy of learning, and the drive and desire to progress.

As I reflect on my interaction with Georgia Kaponi, I am again impressed at how well she diagnoses the missing parts of my piano training and my singing weaknesses on a new song, then works to rebuild those missing or incomplete components.

Clearly, she takes her profession seriously. She communicates this commitment creatively, intelligently, and with enthusiasm.

I recommend her unconditionally to anyone who needs to excel in the music world!
